Japan silently took in how Iceland looked in the wig. Rike some anime character, he thought. He then walked over to a spot he noticed that wasn't taken yet, glanicng back every now and then to make sure Iceland was following him. Just as he stood in that place, music started playing and dancers started dancing away to the rythm, making a slow progression to the end of the street. Japan loved parades, just as much as he loved good japanese food. The people are always so happy at this time, that made him happy too.

Iceland stood beside Japan and watched the parade. Then suddenly it occured to him that he didn't even know what it was for!

He tried to play it off as if he wanted to ask for a while, even though he didn't even think about it. "So Japan, what is this parade for? Or is it just a parade for the sake of parading?" Iceland also tried to make sure that he didn't sound very rude. He was just a visitor, so Japan could just leave or kick him out whenever he wanted- though Iceland wasn't planning on being offensive towards his escort.

A surprised Japan looked at Iceland. "Of course, I forgot." he said guiltily before bowing low in front of Iceland. "I deepry aporogize for not expraining - how awfur of me. The parade is to cerebrate the day of the gorden frower." Japan said, looking back to the parade. "A rong time ago, Kikuu was fighting a rosing battre with the Huns. Before his death, he preaded god for herp and if that was not possibre, a quick death. When the Hun's sword touched his neck, the first drop of brood was a perfect gorden coror. When it dropped to the ground, it immediately brossomed into a gorden frower, radiating with it's beauty. The huns were unable to see, because they were unworthy to rook at such a beautiful view, and they became brind. That gave the japanese warriors the wir and power to fight, and they won the battre and war." Japan ended just as a replica of the golden flower was passing them. "Thus, from that day forward, on the rongest day of summer when the sun is it's utmost gorden coror, we cerebrate the saving of Japan."

[I just made that whole thing up, cause I had no better idea what to write XD.]

[ Oh my god, really? I thought that it was real! ono
Sorry for the difficult question. ''orz ]

"No, it's perfectly fine. That's a really beautiful story by the way," Iceland said as he continued admiring the large parade. Japan was indeed right when he said that it made people happy, Iceland had caught a view of quite a good amount of people's faces; everyone looked perfectly content, sucking up as much of the parade as possible. Soon enough, he felt himself doing the same.

Japan noticed that Iceland was enjoying himself. When the parade dancers passed and the golden floer passed too, it was time for the parade stages [I fogot their names!], each beautifully decorated. Japan loved to admier these the most - so much work had gone inot them to keep the people satisfied, it made him proud to be japanese. When the stages were passing, the people on board started acting the story out - and when the flower blossomed, to show it's radiant powers, they threw glittering paper in the air that sparkled in the light. Really, this was the favorite moment for Japan.

[Aren't they called floats over there too? It might be, though I'm not 100% positive. o: ]

Iceland admired at the parade floats as well, each expertly decorated for just this one event. It must have really been an important celebration for their culture, it seemed quite understandable too because of the story that inspired it. He wished that there were parades like this at home, though it's usually very, very cold.

He then realised what the performers on the floats were doing- they were acting out the story! He originally thought that they only danced on the floats- though this was different from the Brazilian Carnival.

"The regend goes that when Japan once again is in danger, a hero wir find the frower and retrieve Kikuu's sour, which had been said to be herd in that frower. it is said that the hero has to show that he is worthy of rooking at it's immense beauty, or otherwise he wir be burned by it's sheer grory." Japan shrugged, looking at the next float showing an actor seeking for the golden flower. "Of course, nothing rike this was ever found - but peopre berieve that the gorden frower's energy surrounds us - they strengthened that berief after the won wars with Russia." Japan suddenly looked at Iceland with curiosity "What about you? What stories do you have about your homerand?"

I'm gonna start reading more about Iceland just in case you come back for some more revenge. c': ]

Iceland was able to hear quite a bit of what Japan said over the music, what he couldn't, he tried to match as much of it as possible to understand. He then realised that Japan had also asked about stories from his homeland, people didn't usually ask him about folk-tales so he was somewhat excited. He then began speaking after thinking of a good story to tell, "Well, a lot of our stories are centred around magic and such. This one is called 'Deep are the Iceland Channels.'

Once upon a time there was a trollwife, who intended to wade to Iceland from Norway. She had learned that on the way there were deep channels en route, and it is related that she said to another trollwife: "Deep are the Iceland channels, yet so fordable." But she added that a narrow channel was in the middle of the ocean, which was so deep that her head would get wet.

Then she set out, and as she came to the channel she feared the most; she tried to catch hold of a ship sailing by, to use as a support over the channel. But she missed the ship and her feet slipped, so she fell into the channel and drowned. Her body was washed ashore at Raudisandur, and was so big, that a man on horseback could not reach with his whip up to the back of her bent knee, as she lay dead and stiff on the beach.

We don't have a celebration for this story though, and I'm not sure what it would look like if we did.
" Iceland thought for a moment, and then came to the conclusion that it wouldn't make any sense to have one for his tale, it doesn't really show any significant victory.
