It had been days since China had looked at the scar on his back -a goodbye present from Japan when he literally cut himself apart from the one who raised him- and decided that them being apart had been long enough.

Since the start of his search he hadn't found a single sign of Japan and it worried him. Everything could have happened to him, because the nation was still young when he left.

A soft sigh past China's lips. His shoulders hang slightly and his arms -who were completely covered by his oversized sleeves- hang beside his body. From the back he looked like a too tall child who lost his favorite toy car, but when looked from the front. It was clear that the Chinese man had lost a lot more than a imple toy car.

For a moment China had considered to give up and go back home, but he quickly remembered himself that giving up on this wasn't something he wanted. He had decided to find Japan and he wasn't planning to quite searching until he would find him.

With that thought in mind he walked further between the bamboo.

It was long since Japan had seen China.
Ever since he seperated himself from him, his life had gotten harder, but it was the best for the both of them.

He looked up at the sky, which was a clear blue and then looked around him.
He recognized this place.
Yes, if he recalled correctly it was...

Japan quickly turned around, blushing slightly. It was the place where he and China first met, when he was just a little child.
Japan started to walk.
He didn't want to remember that, he didn't want to remember him at all.
He just wanted to leave his past behind and forget him...

China was getting tired, he was already walked around for hours searching and decided that he could sit down for a bit. He could use a bit of rest and something to eat was welcome as well.

He sat down and grabbed something to eat out of a bag he had with him. He was just biting into a steamed bun when his eyes fell on a trampled track. He kept the bun in his mouth, but didn't bit anything off it when he quickly stood up again.

China knew the track could have been from a panda or any other kind of animal, but since he was searching for Japan he knew that skipping this track could be a wrong choice.

With the bun still in his mouth he followed the path, eating the bun while he walked, even when it wasn't healthy to walk and eat at the same time.

Japan walked as quickly as his legs could carry him.

He wanted to be away, away from this place, away from all these memories.
He started to run. The memories drove him insane. Now everything was coming back. All the fun times, all the sad times, all the bad times...

"SHHHHHRRGG" was the sound of clothing that got shred. Japan stopped running and looked where he got into with the long sleeves of his kimono.
'Great' he thought as he saw that his sleeve got stuck in a stubborn bush of bamboo.
'I got no time to waste', and he started to run again, shredding his sleeve and leaving a piece of blue cloth behind.

"Ah, it's a shame. Oh well, I shall fix this when I get home..."

China arrived at the place were he found Japan for the first time and recognised it immediately. A small and sad smile appeared on his lips as he remembered all the things they had done together. The thoughts hurt him, but at the same time gave him the strength to continue his search.

He followed the track further and suddenly noticed something hanging in one of the bamboo trees. He walked closer and saw it was a piece of cloth. He didn't need to think about it any longer, because only Japan would walk through the forest.

Without thinking he start running along the track. "Japan!" He called out, not even knowing if Japan just passed by or if it was already days ago. He did not care, at least he had his first hint that Japan was somewhere in the forest and that the path he followed could almost certainly bring him to the other nation.

"Japan!"

A shout. Someone shouted his name. Japan stopped. Someone was following him, and he already knew who it was.

He had two choices. One, run even faster than before and hope that he wouldn't meet the older nation...
Or two, stand still and wait for the older nation to come and see what he wanted...

Footsteps, Japan could clearly hear footsteps now.
There was no time, he had to make a decision. And fast!

To late, the footsteps were too close. Japan couldn't run away anymore.
He sighed. 'Ah, so far for my peacefull afternoon' he thought as he laid his hand on his katana, waiting for the other to arrive...

China ran as fast as he could and finally saw Japan standing just a few meters in front of him. His heart skipped a few beats because he happy and a little nervous as well. It had been a while since they last saw each other and of course China had no idea if Japan had changed in that time.

For a moment he doubtfully stood in front of Japan, but he quickly decided that he did not care if the Japanese male had changed. He took a sprint, not even seeing Japan's hand on his katana, and pulled Japan in a tight hug, his face buried in the curve of his neck and whispering the Nation's name more against himself then to Japan.
