Even if he didn't go to meetings anymore he worked hard as a country, he thought that if he just kept being a country, doing all he needed to do, doing all he did before that he would not fade away like their grandpa's had done.
So far there were very few signs that things would be different. He didn't feel different, he still felt like a country.
