players: beyond and dernhelm.

This story is about Sicilia and Romano both using their mafia to get Zeelands (the dutch province) attention,
while trying to keep Netherlands from knowing.
Basically they are both investing in her to get laid, lol.

Romano was enjoying a walk in the town of Zierikzee.
Glad business casual, enjoying his smoke.
It was prohibited these days to smoke insides here.
He wondered what the dutch representive thought about it. I
t was freezing outside to his standards.
Bringing back sweet memories off frostbite in the Alps.
Maybe they’d sell hot chocolate somewhere. It was worth to ask.

Another call,… Romano looked at his cell.
For god’s sake this was the third time today, Feli get a life really.
His brother was a bit stressed out because of the recession
and Germany was giving him a hard time about it.
Romano didn’t worry that much about it.
He got it all figured out now together with his Ndrangheta in this project. And the key was “Roggenplaat”.
Roggenplaat is this island, being part of the Oosterscheldekering.
Over it runs an important road by the name N57, It runs from the docks all the way to Belgium.
The Ndrangeta had been searching for a way into Europe for this immense load off smuggleware for years now.
Besides Spain most came in threw Netherlands.
Now Rotterdams port was being scanned more and more.
But you didn’t need to port there. You could dock in Zeeland as well, if you got a reason to be there.
Now suddenly there was a reason due to this immense project.
The restructering of the dykes. And by “Roggenplaat” at the same time the old windmills would be replaced.
The old mills would have to be taken away to be recycled in Belgium
and those pipes gave so much space to smuggle in whatever you needed into Europe.
Nobody would even bother to check.
Netherlands focus never lay in that area anyways. Those where really in The Hague, Amsterdam and Rotterdam.
918 million euro’s was reserved for the immense project. And it proved an excellent way to invest a little here and there.
Not enough to draw attention, but enough to buy in more and more influence.
The more influence they would gain over this project the easier it would be to get the ware from Holland unnoticed. It was perfect.

Zeeland herself was at the area where the dykes would be restructed and the windmills would be replaced. Because it was her own land, she was in charge of keeping an eye on the whole project.
The red raincoat of which she had chopped off part of the sleeves, waved on the breeze that her beloved sea brought.
Things had been going so well despite the crisis. There was still lots of tourism around her place, the one thing she needed badly, and the export of fish and other seafood was going well. Silently, she watched a few fishboats out on the sea. Sometimes life could be boring.

Sara had vaguely heard something from her brother about something to do with Italy, but she didn't know what. He never bothered to tell her much, like he didn't care.
It was weird. Sometimes he seemed to care, like during the flood of 1953, and sometimes he didn't.
She sighed and watched over her land.

Was that?… Romano checked, si…it was her allright.
Romano tossed his sigaret carelessly off shore and walked over to Sara.
“Ciao Bella, hoe maekt u t? Zie,… kleine beetje nederlands, heh?”

he said with a victorious smirk stressing his words with his hands.
Romano directly followed greeting her with a kiss on both cheeks,
as he was accustomed and held her shoulders to look at her from head to toes.
Then turned to watch the water
“You should be proud, none of us has ever been this victorious over Sea.
Just look at you what you have become; a most beautifull lady.
.. and a smart one too. I really admire your work, Sara.”

Sara turned towards the sudden voice that spoke to her.
“Ciao Bella, hoe maekt u t? Zie,… kleine beetje nederlands, heh?”
A smile spread over her face. "Romano! It's been a while! And, het gaat goed met mij hoor!"
She knew the Italien from back when her land was under Austria's power.

She greeted him the same way, with two kisses and chuckled a bit at Romano gazing her over.
“You should be proud, none of us has ever been this victorious over Sea.
Just look at you what you have become; a most beautifull lady.
.. and a smart one too. I really admire your work, Sara.”
"I'm very proud. Or victories brought many advantages. Even my fight against the sea has become famous and look at me now." She stated with a proud smile, watching over the sea. "And to be honest, you have changed a lot too! Not for the worse I might add." She said with a chuckle. "How've you been?"

"Grazie! Me,.. ehh Well... so, so right?
My brother is really depressed see. Spain also, ehh... don't like that.
He's laying on his sofa all day hoping to die. I can do nothing about it.
No tourists, no tomatoes, it's too early
so I'm on tour before I get depressed myself."

Thinking about really turned a dark frown on his face.
He felt like a total dick leaving Spain like that,
but there was no point in sitting next to his bed holding hands all day.
If Romano learned to get his shit together he could help Antonio as well.

“I insist you have lunch with me.
And I know it’s in your nature to pay your own share and all, don’t.
I know you are strong and perfectly capable to do it by yourself and all.
I just want to please you.
Where I come from, nothing says I like you better than sharing food.
I think what for us Italians is eating for dutch is sex...
But if you really prefer the latter
I won’t be a prick about it. It’s your call, bella.” he smirked.

Romano didn't really mind he had an appetite for both.

"Aaah is that so? It's a pity really, Feli is always so cheerful." She said, then softly chuckled.
"So instead of lying on the couch sleeping, Spain is lying on the couch waiting to die? I see... He could always focus on trying to draw people to him for wintersport." She reasoned.

Sara had seen Netherlands somewhat depressed and pissed about the crisis, but never saw him just give up. The news was full of optimism in the country, but that might be to restore the trust of the people again.

"Lunch sounds nice, and I'll try to restrain myself from it, haha!" However, she couldn't help the faint blush that came to her face. Despite the countries reputation, Zeeland herself hadn't had much intercourse throughout her life.
"Let's see about that after dinner, eh Romano?" She teased with a smirk.

"Hmn Hmn, mio fratello must quit on some of his cultural hobbies. And there's little work." Romano giggled "Si, when you bring it like that there is not much change eh.. he loves that couch too much. Maybe we should set it on fire, maybe that would motivate him coming off. I can imagine what he would say. - So not cute lovi - "

Even though Romano was a slight dissapointed she didn't directly answered anything like: we can order lunch from our little hotel room wink wink.
He did notice her blushing and her comment was sexy enough.

"Great, please tell me what you like best. And how you want it?"
he was talking about lunch.
"Or do you want us to take it real slow, and discuss it over hot chocolate?"

Sara laughed. "Haha! That's actually not a bad idea! Might get something productive out of him then." She grinned a bit.

However, her blush turned deeper at Romano's words and she almost choked on air.
"W-What?! R-Romano..!" She hadn't expected that from him, but she also didn't know he was talking about food.

Romano smiled at her and was about to make fun of her
as suddenly he was grabbed by two bouncer like guys and pushed down on all fours.

"This man bothering you, Sara?"
This man came to her with the cheesest smile.
He was glad in the finest italian suit, nicely cut, beautiful fabrics
and fine shoes to match. His hair was slicky combed down backwards.

"What the fuck, Vito?! You are going to regret this, bastard!"Romano exclaimed.

"Is that a fact? Hmn... Tsss, Bella don't let his cute appearance fool you, this man had only come here to invade you."

"Go back to that fucked up Island of yours, a. and just die allready!"

"Chi me lo fa fare? Tsss, Lovi, don't be like that."
The guy kneeled down to Romano and carefully placed
a kiss on his lips
"It's on Lovi"

After that the guy gave Sara one last warm smile before he got into a car and drove off.
The others let go off Romano after that and everybody walked away like nothing happened.
Romano stood up and patted of the dust of his trousers before he took Sara by the arm
"We should go,.. somewhere save.. right.. now"

Sara let out a surprised sound when Romano was suddenly pushed down.
"Romano!" She had the tendency to immediately get defensive, but Romano seemed to know the guy, so she stayed put for a little while.

"No he's not bothering me, Sicilia! He's my friend!" She exclaimed.

W-wait... invade her? What was that about? Why would Romano invade her? That didn't make sense! Was this... was this what her brother had been talking about.

Ok.. the kiss might have been a little weird. But Sara didn't seem to mind really. She was used to weird stuff.

She nodded at the Italien when he grabbed her arm. "We can go to old grandma's house. It's been empty ever since she died. It's a little down the road, near the dykes!" She explained and led him quickly to the house.
