Well actually 5 years of searching for designs and parts and people.
The chassis is original and most of the turret is a remake with original plans for the Panthers. Altogether I've put in about a million dollars, which is spread out about my 5 years.

I'll get a picture of me in my Panzer commander uniform next to the tank next re-enactment if you'd like >.>

What war was that model tank used in?

If it's WWII, then my grandfather may have drove them during the war~ He was a tanker.

This is a 1944 model Panzerkampfwagen V Panther, Most tanks in WWI tend to look rather bulky and like...well...Old farm tractors to be honest.

If you're Grandfather was a tanker, do you know what position he was? Mine was one too, He was what they call a SS-Obersturmbannfuhrer Here's a picture of him with my grandmother

I have no idea what position he was in, and I can't ask him either. He passed away little over 3 years ago....

Ouch SS... I guess those letters give everyone from the Netherlands bad vibes...

But I do have question! Can you like, give an idiot-proof explaination of what happened to Prussia? I know he gradually got more and more consumed by Germany, but I know the official dissolution wasn't untill 1945, right? Still everyone says 'we were at war with Germany' not 'we were at war with Prussia'

Alright in a nutshell here's how it went down. Back before WWI (and before Germany was even Germany) Prussia was a kingdom known as an army with a state (I believe at one point it was 98% of the male population was in the army). Prussia wanted to expand without war though and sought out it's close neighbors that spoke the same (ish) language. To the west of Prussia were multiple small kingdoms each run by many small little kings and whatnot that banded together when in danger to fight called the German Confederation. Here comes my favorite part. Bismarck (Being the old war monger he was) was appointed by Wilhelm IV of Prussia (the future Kaiser Wilhelm I) to unify the German peoples. Bismarck then went on to start a revolution in the German Confederation in 1848 which ultimately joined the two together, hereby making it Grand Germany (name changed to Germany in 1890-ish.)

The only problem Bismarck made was his system of allies that caused WWI, but we'll go into that at a later time.

And yes as a tank commander in post 1943 Germany, all Commanders had to become some rank in the SS, though don't worry, he didn't believe in a ll that stuff.

All I know is that he was a tanker in the US Army. That's it, but I can find out easily if ya want.
